Superintendent Bobby Raye Huntley, born January 26, 1960 in Birmingham, Alabama.  At eight (8) months old he and his family moved to Dayton, Ohio.  At the age of eight (8) Supt. Huntley gave his life to the Lord and was Baptize in Water at Macedonia Baptist Church in Dayton.  Supt. Huntley graduated from Wilbur Wright High School in 1978 and immediately enlisted into the United States Marine Corps.  Having tours of duties in; Bremerton, Wa., Camp Lejeune North Carolina, Okinawa Japan, Korea, Turkey, Hawaii and Italy.  After serving 13 1/2 years in the United States Marine Corps, being meritoriously promoted in rank twice, receiving numerous awards and citations, Supt. Huntley was Honorably Discharged June 1992.

In 1994 Supt. Huntley rededicated his life back to the Lord.  In 1996 Supt. Huntley served as a Deacon and Armor Bearer to Pastor Thomas B. Campbell, Jr. Living Word Ministries, Church of God In Christ in Virginia Beach, Va.  Supt. Huntley received his Minister’s License in 2005 and his Pastors Ordination in 2006 under the auspices of Bishop J. Matthew Brown, Sr. General Overseer, Pastor, Flames of Fire, Church of Divine Deliverance, Inc. Norfolk, Va.  Under Bishop Brown, Supt. Huntley served in the following capacities:  Chief Adjutant, Chairman of the Presbytery Board, Director of the Presbytery, Chairman of the Pastors / Elders Summit, President of the Young Men’s Group and Moderator Flames of Fire Annual Membership Meeting. 

 

On March 15, 2021 Test of Faith Ministries officially joined with Citadel Ministries International, Inc.  108 Salem Street Thomasville, North Carolina 27360  Presiding Prelate, Bishop Dr. George B. Jackson.

Supt. Huntley retired on October 1, 2021 with nineteen years as an educator with the Virginia Beach City Public Schools receiving the following citations and awards:  3 times awarded “Teacher Assistant of the Year”, Awarded Virginia Beach Education Association Division Wide Teacher Assistant of the Year 2012 -2013, Nominated “Life Changer of the Year” 2013-2014, 6 times awarded “The I Make A Difference Award”, “Tag by the Superintendent” of Virginia Beach Public Schools.  In 2005 Supt. Huntley was awarded February Black History Month “King of Hampton Roads” by KISS 105.3.  In 2008 he received “The Youth Leadership Hero Award” for extraordinary work provided to youth & young adults for the City of Virginia Beach.  September 2012 received Certificate of Appreciation from “Trienniel Relationship Conference 2012” for “Dedicated & Outstanding Community Service and also received The Community Pride Fest Award 2015.  June 2018 WTKR NEWS CHANNEL 3 "People Taken Action Award." Certificate of Appreciation 4th Annual Black History Month Celebration 2019 B.M.E.R. Richmond, VA. Received the Terry Riddick's Community Service Frontline Soldier's Award May 2022. Awarded COMMONWEALTH OF VIRGINIA GENERAL ASSEMBLY HOUSE JOINT  RESOLUTION NO. 161 For my 13 1/2 Years of Service in the United States Marine Corps, 19 Years Retirement from the Virginia Beach City Public Schools to include 14 as the Director of The Gentlemen's Club, an after school Character Development Mentoring Program for youth, May 2022.

Supt. Huntley as been the Presenter and Keynote Speaker at:  Tallwood High School African Male Summit "Remember The Dream" 2008.  Presenter and Keynote Speaker at:  Norfolk State University, Virginia State University and Old Dominion University.  As well as the National African American School Board Members Council 6th Annual  "Closing The Achievement Gap Summit."  The Norfolk Pubic School Social Workers Conference.  The Promise Keepers Teen Dropout Summit in Richmond, VA.  and the National Association State Board of Educations (NASBE) in Washington, DC.

Supt. Huntley holds a BA in Religion & BA in Sociology from St Leo University.  Supt. Huntley holds Certifications from; Good News Jail & Prison Ministry, American Bible Academy and The Salvation Army.   As President & CEO of  B Raye Huntley Enterprises: Supt. Huntley is an; Inspirational Speaker, Author, Publisher, Poet, Consultant, Artist, Youth Activist, Mentor  and the author of five books.

Under B Raye Huntley Enterprises  for 14 years Supt. Huntley has strengthen a Character Development Mentoring Program for boys & young men called; “The Gentlemen’s Club” where through the program he has mentored to over 600 youth.

The Gentlemen's Club has been featured in the Virginia Beach City Public Schools Superintendent's Dr. Merrill's Compass 2015 and Dr. Spence Compass 2020.

Together with his wife; Elder Angelia Huntley working side by side in the ministry for 20 years, married for 28 years and have 5 children; Star, Bobby II, William, Diamonte and Mikael.  Blessed with one grandson, Michael & two granddaughters, Mikijah-Raye and Novah.

 

September 16th thru September 18th Citadel Ministries International held it's 10th Annual National Holy Conclave in Thomasville, NC.  On Friday, September 16th Superintendent Huntley was the first Preacher to Preach at the Conclave.  On Sunday, September 18th in the 11:00am Service, Pastor Huntley was Elevated to Superintendent.
